Privacy policy

1. Information collected by the app

Wasurenacho does not collect information from your notebook. It does not send your name, email address, or the details you enter to the developer. The app does not make network requests.

2. Information stored locally

The app stores information you choose to enter in its private storage on your device:

• People’s names, pronunciation, preferred names, other names, groups, tags, work, location, how you met, notes, and custom fields.
• Family members’ names, relationships, pronunciation, notes, and photos.
• Dated conversation, activity, learned-detail, and keep-in-mind entries.
• Photos you choose to add.
• Display preferences, person colors, and app lock settings.

Deleting the app removes its local data. The app does not provide its own cloud backup or sync.

3. Photos and camera

Access to a photo or the camera is requested only when you choose to add a photo. Selected photos are copied into the app’s local storage. The app does not upload them or send the contents of your photo library to anyone.

4. Face ID / Touch ID

App lock is optional. Authentication is handled by iOS, and the app receives the result, not your facial or fingerprint data. The app does not store biometric data.

5. Third-party services

The app does not include advertising, analytics, or crash-collection SDKs. It does not share notebook data with third parties.

6. Other people’s information

This is a personal notebook for details about people you know. The developer cannot access its contents. Please respect the privacy of the people whose details you record.

7. Exporting and deleting data

Settings & backup lets you copy people and entries to the clipboard as a JSON text backup. This happens only when you choose it. Photos are not included. You are responsible for keeping exported data private. Restoring a text backup replaces existing people and entries and does not restore photos. You can delete all notebook data from the same settings screen.

8. General audience

Wasurenacho is a general-audience personal notebook. It does not collect notebook data from users of any age.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, this page and its date will be updated. Changes to the app’s handling of information will be described before the corresponding update is released.
